Okuda Yuta, born in 1987 in Aichi Prefecture, studied fashion design in Japan and England, then worked as a designer, and became an artist in 2016. Since then, I have actively participated in solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, and have continued to produce and present. In recent years, I have mainly created flower series incorporating “coincidences,” such as the flow and bleeding of paint. Okuda's work is a major appeal of Okuda's work because of the strong strokes and the expression in which the movement of the paint is echoed by the delicate line drawn with the pen on the same screen.

Also, with TODA BUILDING, which is the venue for this exhibition, Okuda's works were printed on a large scale in a temporary enclosure set up during the construction of the building, and there was an opportunity to be seen by many passers-by. This exhibition can also be said to be a place where relationships with such construction processes are reconnected.

In this exhibition, we will be exhibiting paintings with flower bouquets as motifs, centering on the “With Concerns” series. In the soft air where you can feel the arrival of spring, vivid and fresh bouquet works will create a gorgeous exhibition space at the venue.

Please take this opportunity to take a look at the venue.
