Kosuke Yamawaki new solo exhibition “Space”

Ai Makita is based in Tokyo and New York. Her artwork aims to create organic images out of inorganic elements by using mechanical motifs. Also, her theme is to create material and physical works based on two-dimensional digital data. In particular, she aspires to bring digital images out into real space as paintings on canvas by composing artefacts such as metals and plastics photographed by herself. She has recently  incorporated generative AI into the production of her artwork and her style is not limited to canvas paintings, but also includes video, prints and installations.The exhibition title “Form and Matter“ starts with Aristotle’s concept in Greek philosophy. We are pleased to feature Makita&apos;s new artworks that approach the theme using various methods of expression, such as paintings, prints, drawings, and video works.

The two artists who were active in different genres of art began working together in 2012. The artist COIN PARKING DELIVERY&apos;s new solo exhibition “GIVE ME TIME TO BLOOM” will be held from 2025/03/22 (Sat).COIN PARKING DELIVERY (COIN PARKING DELIVERY) started its activities in 2018 when using a smartphone during train travel time and started drawing pictures with your finger.It quickly attracted attention from various fields, and not only did she present her work at exhibitions as an artist, but she is also taking an approach with a wide range of expressions, such as installing public art and collaborating with major companies as part of town planning with the government.What is characteristic of COIN PARKING DELIVERY&apos;s work is pop characters that are easy to understand for all classes and a strong message.Suddenly, when you see the work, various layers have been added to it over and over again, and the viewer will naturally be drawn into the world of canvas.The entertainment that unfolds in that space seems to be constantly trying to express the modern dilemmas of “connection” and “love,” “humans” and “society,” and “production” and “consumption” from the viewpoint of COIN PARKING DELIVERY, which has received domestic and international evaluations over a short career, with motifs that are easy to understand.COIN PARKING DELIVERY announced the suspension of artist activities for 2 years on the occasion of a solo exhibition held in 2023, and focused on commercial activities.At this long-awaited exhibition, not only will sculptures be presented, but 13 new works, including the largest canvas ever, will be presented, making it the largest solo exhibition ever for the artist.

Auto Moai began producing black and white works in 2015, and since 2018, it also uses a lot of color, and is known for its style where a highly anonymous “presence” stands on the screen. While being extremely objective, it is a style that can also be seen as a very personal scene, and presents scenery and scenes that can only be seen because necessary information, such as relationships between humans and the relationship between the work and the viewer, has been stripped down.This exhibition “Private Ritual” is Automoi&apos;s largest exhibition among the exhibitions to be held this year, and all new paintings will be presented. Now entering its eighth exhibition, the gallery is proud to present a new solo exhibition by artist Tomoya Tsukamoto, titled &quot;Journey of Encounters&quot;, opening on Saturday, July 5, 2025.This exhibition is held in collaboration with Admira Gallery , a contemporary art gallery based in Hong Kong.Born in 1982 in Ishikawa Prefecture, and currently based in Kanagawa, Tomoya Tsukamoto is an active figure in the contemporary art scene. His practice is characterized by the use of an airbrush to apply countless ultra-fine dots, creating visual effects reminiscent of pointillism, while also incorporating dripping techniques and light, fluid brushstrokes to develop his distinctive painterly language.Tsukamoto’s signature approach involves layering red, blue, and yellow—the three primary colors—so that the viewer’s retina blends them optically, dissolving the boundary between figure and ground. Drawing inspiration from motifs such as cherry blossoms, koi fish, human silhouettes, and deer, his work explores cycles of light and shadow, life and death. In recent years, he has incorporated real plants as stencils and used negative/positive inversion techniques to reinterpret Georges Seurat’s color theory alongside the decorative sensibility of the Japanese Rinpa school, all through a contemporary lens. His paintings balance the intricacy of Japanese &quot;kazari&quot; aesthetics with a minimalist production process, inviting viewers into an immersive and contemplative visual experience.This exhibition marks Tsukamoto’s first solo show in Tokyo in 13 years, and is also his largest presentation of the year. Tomoya Tsukamoto solo exhibition “Journey of Encounters”

In this exhibition, a new solo exhibition by artist  Ryusuke Sano will be held from 9th August (Sat), 2025.After flying to New York in 2016, Ryusuke worked as an assistant to a local Japanese artist during his 3 months stay, and later he started his career as a  painter.  Since the first exhibition held in 2018, he has been energetically drawing works, incorporating the concept of “ZOOM,” which expresses compositions where irregular concreteness and abstraction coexist using various materials and layers. Rinyusuke Sano new solo exhibition “ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO/ FACE”

We will now hold a special exhibition “ Tokyo Gendai 58 min ” to coincide with the international contemporary art fair Tokyo Gendai 2025.Tokyo Gendai , which was first held in July 2023 and is now attracting attention as one of Asia&apos;s leading art fairs, is a platform where major domestic and international galleries meet in one place and serve as a bridge for cultural dialogue with the global art market.In addition to participating in Tokyo Gendai 2025, this exhibition will be the first joint group exhibition by the three galleries based in the same building: Tomio Koyama Gallery, Taka Ishii Gallery, and KOSAKU KANECHIKA.The works exhibited will be selected by each gallery that belongs to it.It is 58 min from Pacifico Yokohama,  the venue for Tokyo Gendai 2025, to Gallery &amp; Bakery Tokyo in Kyobashi, Tokyo. Miwa was born in 1993 in Nagoya, Aichi. Originating from the purpose of “drawing what you see as it is,” I am currently researching pictorial expressions in the process of receiving and processing visual information, the act of observational depiction expanded by modern technology, and “distance” in various meanings between target information and the observer, and presenting paintings.This exhibition is Miwa&apos;s largest exhibition to date.The exhibition is scheduled to be composed mainly of over 50 oil paintings, including the largest 100. Eiji Miwa's new solo exhibition “No. 329 Freedom” 

The 12th Tokyo 8 minute exhibition, a new solo exhibition “Slowing Down and Recovery” by artist Naka Erika will be held from 2025/10/18 (Sat).Naka was born in Komoro, Nagano. Fragments of symbols scattered throughout modern society are incorporated into paintings, and the simultaneous meanings and diachronic meanings of symbols are questioned through their reconstruction. Thick layers of acrylic paint often deviate from the artist&apos;s control and create an inevitable “gap” between it and the support. This contingency is an opportunity to visualize the arbitrariness of symbols and fluctuations in meaning. Until now, he has vigorously presented his work both domestically and internationally, and has received the CAF Shiraishi Masami Award (2018) and Wonder Seed Selection (2017). For Naka, this exhibition is the largest exhibition in Japan so far, and it commemorates the 1st anniversary of the opening of Tokyo 8 minutes. We will mainly be presenting a group of new works that combine major works equivalent to 120 issues and new series. Erika Naka “Slowing Down and Recovering”-Tokyo 8min first anniversary exhibition-

Shimada was born in 1995 in Tokyo. Based on photographs that have been processed and edited using digital devices such as smartphones and tablet terminals, we produce them using the method of drawing them with oil paint. Smartphones spread rapidly when I was a student studying art, and the environment for taking and processing photographs on a daily basis became ready, so naturally I began to make sketches with digital tools.The feeling that painting is an extension of photo editing was very natural in Shimada from the beginning, and he says that distortions, noises, light bleeding, and color deviations that cannot be captured with the naked eye can appear in the world seen through a smartphone or computer screen. They are not simply technical bugs or errors, but they are viewed as a new reality in the present day = “new reality,” and I have a strong interest in transferring such accidental visual information into paintings through the material medium called oil paint.In recent years, we have been exploring how far it is possible to reproduce the luminescence and glossy texture of a liquid crystal screen on analog canvases, and by daring to use the classical method of oil painting, which has strong material properties, we are exploring points of contact with the immaterial texture of digital images and the tension that arises between them.At first, portraits were the main theme, but now we are advancing a more compositional and experimental approach while expanding motifs to include the Morandi series, which depicts pots, flowers, still lifes, and landscapes. Shimada Moe solo exhibition “Ghost Note +”

Tamura was born in 1989 in Osaka. Tamura&apos;s works are born from small feelings of incongruity and discovery hidden in everyday scenes. By taking motifs related to transportation and urban infrastructure, such as asphalt, road signs, and car mirrors, and separating them from their original context and function, they have given a completely new meaning and presence. With a keen eye for observation, reliable technology, and a sense of play, we are reconstructing familiar things from a poetic and critical perspective.Also, Tamura focuses on scenes and objects that are overlooked in everyday life, scoops up the ambiguity and uncertainty they have, and transforms them into works with quiet humor and romance. This practice is a critical look at modern society, and at the same time, it is also an attempt to awaken the senses and memories we have in our everyday lives.This exhibition consists of two series: a two-dimensional work of “Record of the Road Itself Rediymade (Road)” and a three-dimensional work of “The Concept of the Road TORNCEPT (Unknown Road).” Be sure to experience the accidental discoveries hidden in Tamura&apos;s works inspired by everyday scenes at the venue.

Takuro Tamura's new solo exhibition “Road and Unroad”

Born in 2000, Sanada Shotaro is an young generation artist with numerous achievements at a his age, winning Art Olympia 2022 and Best Debutant of the Year 2025, and has worked on large murals at JR Nagano Station and Ueno Station and artwork for Google Japan.He has created creative abstract paintings on the theme of the relationship between the “smartphone screen (information environment)” that modern people face every day and the “substance” called painting.The exhibition &quot;FOR&quot; connects the &quot;scroll&quot;—a symbol of modern life—with the &quot;vertical brushstrokes&quot; of painting.From the moment we wake, we reach for our smartphones, our thumbs endlessly tracing the screen in a vertical motion. Shotaro Sanada transforms this unconscious physical action into the strokes of his painting practice. By anchoring &quot;gravity&quot; and &quot;time&quot; onto the canvas through his unique interpretation, he presents a &quot;new landscape&quot; for the digital society.In addition to showcasing Sanada’s largest-scale canvas works to date, this exhibition features a curation by the artist himself that unfolds his creative and thought processes throughout the venue. Sanada Shotaro new solo exhibition "FOR"

Born in 1994 in Saitama Prefecture, The artist completed his master&apos;s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School. Until now, I have been working on creating paintings and sculptures by thinking about gaps that seem to be indirect transmission of information between people, such as modern visual experiences and senses, individual symbolization, and multi-layered communication with people associated with the spread of the internet.It was collected by the Tokyo University of the Arts University Art Museum in 2019, was selected for the Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art in 2023, and won the Nomura Art Award in 2026, and has continued activities such as being selected as Mr. O Memorial Scholarship, Kuma Foundation 4th Term Scholarship, Sato International Cultural Education Foundation Scholarship, and Kamiyama Foundation Scholarship.This exhibition document / skin is an exhibition structure that combines works created in master&apos;s and doctoral programs in addition to new paintings. KAWABATA Kenta solo exhibition ”Document / Skin”

Okuda Yuta, born in 1987 in Aichi Prefecture, studied fashion design in Japan and England, then worked as a designer, and became an artist in 2016. Since then, I have actively participated in solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, and have continued to produce and present. In recent years, I have mainly created flower series incorporating “coincidences,” such as the flow and bleeding of paint. Okuda&apos;s work is a major appeal of Okuda&apos;s work because of the strong strokes and the expression in which the movement of the paint is echoed by the delicate line drawn with the pen on the same screen.Also, with TODA BUILDING, which is the venue for this exhibition, Okuda&apos;s works were printed on a large scale in a temporary enclosure set up during the construction of the building, and there was an opportunity to be seen by many passers-by. This exhibition can also be said to be a place where relationships with such construction processes are reconnected.In this exhibition, we will be exhibiting paintings with flower bouquets as motifs, centering on the “With Concerns” series.
